My name is Diana,
I’m a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner- that’s a mouthful so I usually keep it simple - Functional Nutritionist.
I work with clients in person in Dubai or online to understand the root cause of any dysfunction and use nutrition to rebalance.
I love to share a bit about my journey and why helping people in the holistic field became my biggest passion and motivation.
I think it’s fair to say that for a big part of my life, I constantly lived with fears, anxieties, self-esteem, identity, & relationship issues which led me to having serious eating disorders at a relatively young age, lasting over many years. One of the most challenging journeys I have ever travelled has been in recovery and accepting myself.

I think it’s fair to say that for a big part of my life, I constantly lived with fears, anxieties, self-esteem, identity, & relationship issues which led me to having serious eating disorders at a relatively young age, lasting over many years. One of the most challenging journeys I have ever travelled has been in recovery and accepting myself.
Stop managing symptoms and band aid approaches and get out of the
cycle that contributes to the raise in chronic diseases.
I compared myself to what the world represented as the “Norm” and hence struggled with “not being enough” on all levels.
What I did not notice at the time was, the more I denied myself the food that would nourish my body to be able to thrive, the more anxiety and emotional issues I was facing.
REMEMBER, every cell in our body is running on the nutrients we provide it with.
It took me years to overcome what the world wanted me to be – or so I thought, verses who I really am.
These experiences helped me gain a whole new perspective on life and taught me to have compassion and empathy for the people around me, for their own rocky roads they might be on. After going through this whole discovery journey for myself, I really started to fall in love with food again and seeing it as a friend rather than an enemy. I realized how passionate I became about the effects food had on my mood changes and overall wellbeing. So I started to connect everything back to what I ate and how I felt.
Through the power of coaching and yoga and of course with the help of many role models I supported myself to become a healthier and empowered individual, realizing that sometimes we tell ourselves a story over and over again which we eventually believe.

The last tipping point in my journey was when the pressure of life together with wanting to be on top of the game, and when I say that, I only refer to the career part here, as this is what the world and the people around us mostly measures us on, isn’t it? Especially the financial aspect and title power. Things bottled up and I really hit rock bottom and decided to seek help. The only help conventional medicine provided me with, after diagnosing me with generalized anxiety disorder, was a daily dose of Cipralex, which I politely declined, left the Doctor office and was shocked, frustrated and wondered how I will ever get out of that cycle without being on drugs the rest of my life.
