What is it like to work with a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner?

We are all unique and while there are certain nutritional principles that all humans benefit from following, there is no one-size-fits-all approach especially when it comes to your health. I have a great toolset to access your needs according to your current circumstances by taking in consideration your epigenetics (how the environment interacts with our genes by turning some on and some off)

Your current circumstances, challenges, environment, lifestyle, bodily strengths and weaknesses all influence what particular foods will serve you best in that moment. One of the first things we will do is to identify your health priorities and goals through a comprehensive interview and evaluation of your food journal (3 days minimum).

With all the information gathered including a Nutritional Assessment Questionnaire (NAQ), we will agree on your personal protocol and on a
second consultation. This protocol will have a Real Food focus with suggested lifestyle adjustments reflective of your bio-individuality to
increase you sense of self and support your health priorities.

Functional Clinical Assessment

Taking the personalised approach one step further with a Functional Clinical Assessment. This assessment is unique to Nutritional Therapy and supports us further to identify the body’s nutritional deficiencies and organs that are in the greatest stress that need support. Every organ system is surrounded by a network, whether that be a NEURO (brain), VASCULAR (blood vessel), or NEURO-LYMPHATIC (lymph vessels) network. When an organ system becomes stressed, blood and/or lymph is moved to these networks in an effort to draw the necessary nutrients to support the organ. This collection of fluid takes up space at the organ system and registers as tenderness in the body.

We will access these pressure points with simple palpation techniques to identify exactly which foods and/or supplement recommendations are needed to support and nourish the body to assist recovery.

Follow Up Session

Working on your health is an ongoing process and depending on where you are at with your health journey, it may require a different level of support. To start off with we will touch base every 2 weeks and depending on the support needed will go up to every 8 weeks. You will manifest the things we go through and eventually will need lesser support as we go. I am with you all the way and we will be in touch during sessions either via what’s app or will schedule quick catch- up calls of 15mins.
